DGD Day 34
Topic: Redemption through Grace
Text: Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
Records have it that slavery is older than the first human records. In fact, slaves were always subject to torture, sexual exploitation, and arbitrary death. The devil is the greatest slave keeper. He turns his slaves to prisoners and would not let them go free. Slavery is one of the most inhumane human activities.
The process of setting a slave free, redemption, required the payment of a price called ransom, and it is done by a redeemer. We were all born as slaves— slaves to sin, self and Satan. Incapacitated. But, speaking of Christ, the Bible says “we have redemption through his blood … according to the riches of his grace”. Thank God for the blood of Jesus. The blood that brings redemption through grace.
Do you feel chained to your sins? Are you a captive of lust and immorality? Does your soul yearn for freedom today? Oh! There’s a place I can lead you to. Redemption flows freely there by grace, and it is once and for all. Come, come, come to the foot of the cross today. There is redemption by grace at the foot of the cross.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the grace that sets free. I receive the grace to be free from sin and slavery to Satan in Jesus’ name. Amen.
